EZ FLO International has moved a portion of their operation into the former DowBrands plant in the Greenville Industrial Park. The California-based company, which manufactures water heater connectors, gas appliance connectors, and various products for showers, bathtubs, faucets, and spas, now leases approximately 50,000 square feet of the building. EZ Flo officials had contacted the Board of Development more than a year ago about its interest in locating into the former DowBrands Building.
EZ FLO ships products to home improvement centers and wholesale distributors nationwide. The new plant brought 15 new jobs to Greenville with a potential for more in the future.
Company spokesman Gary Light speculates that EZ FLO could greatly expand their Greenville operation as they look at consolidating the company's California and north Texas operations. According to Light, the Greenville facility is very suitable for the EZ FLO's manufacturing needs. The city is an excellent site, he adds, because it allows easy access both to major highways for shipping product and to the large Metroplex area workforce.
EZ FLO International purchased the assets of U.S. Brass Company, including the Commerce plant, last year. The DowBrands facility was part of the Wing Industries complex. The Wing Plant, a local subsidiary of Atrium Patio Doors, closed last summer.
