The Greenville (TX) Board of Development Launches New Website that Makes it Easier to Share Information

October 8, 2025

The Greenville Board of Development (GBOD) launched a new website, in August 2025 with new information and features designed to attract businesses to the region. The website highlights the ample location advantages of moving to the area, the growing workforce, and the region’s high quality of life.

“We needed a website that would disseminate information clearly and coherently,” says John Dickson, Director of Business Development and Retention for GBOD. “This meant creating pages in a visually appealing manner and using a layout where site visitors didn’t have to search for what they needed. Everything was there and ready for them.”

From the start, GBOD wanted a highly visual layout that followed the latest trends in web design. The organization wanted information to be easily found, so insights weren’t buried in extra pages or complicated site maps. The finished product is colorful, easy to navigate, and gets users exactly where they need to go.

“Regardless of your motivations or goals, you can find what you need,” says Dickson. “The new website highlights the wonderful things about our community and makes a compelling argument to come here.”

GBOD hired Golden Shovel Agency to handle the website project. Golden Shovel Agency worked closely with Dickson to develop a website layout, create page content, and make visually appealing elements like clear maps that showcase Greenville’s location advantages. Site selectors, in particular, will enjoy using the data center, which allows them to download reports related to the labor force, local businesses, and consumer expenditures.

“Working with Golden Shovel Agency was a positive experience,” says Dickson. “Everything about the website design process was concise and explained clearly to our team. We received training and explanations on all the tools we needed, and the writing process was efficient.”
