Summer Time and the Living is Easy in Greenville, TX

Greenville, TX has recently been recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau as the 15th fastest-growing city in the nation compared to cities with populations over 20,000. Why are people so excited to call Greenville home? It’s the people, businesses, and community spirit that continue to make this a great place to live, work, and raise a family. The Greenville, Texas Board of Development invites you to explore the many reasons why Greenville is the place to be this summer. 

Music at the Market 

The 3rd annual Music at the Market in Downtown Greenville is ready to kick off another fun summer season of music and community connection. This free summer concert series brings live, local music to Market Square on select Fridays in June and July. Downtown comes alive with great music, food, and drinks. Bring your lawn chairs, catch up with friends, and dance into the evening. Here’s the music lineup for 2026:

June 12 – The Blandelles
June 19 – Alex Aguilar
June 26 –  Jenn Ford
July 10 – FF Creative
July 17 – Michael Summers & 30 Miles East
July 24 – Lola Kinsey

Concerts start at 8:00 PM on Market Square, 2203 Lee Street.

4th of July in Greenville

The hometown feels are never stronger than 4th of July in Greenville, TX. The Greenville Board of Development, City of Greenville, and Greenville Parks and Recreation are gearing up for three major ways you can celebrate this year.

  • Firecracker 5K- 4th of July starts off with energy and excitement at the family-friendly 5K. This event is perfect for runners and walkers of any age. Learn more and register by clicking the link here.
  • Park Street Parade- Nothing says 4th of July like a hometown Independence Day Parade. Greenville 4th of July Parade starts at 10:00 AM and will feature antique cars, marching bands, horses, and patriotic community spirit. Get all the details by clicking the link here.
  • Bottle Rocket Bash- Close out 4th of July with a bang at the Bottle Rocket Bash hosted at the Sports Park for 2026. This event features live entertainment, vendor booths, kids zone, and fireworks under the stars.  

Greenville Celebrates Armed Forces Day with Family-Friendly Fly-in

Military service members matter in Greenville, which is why Armed Forces Day is celebrated in a big way that includes the whole family. This May, Greenville Municipal Airport hosted Armed Forces Day Fly-in and Historic Aircraft Show at Majors Field.

The free family event featured legendary warbirds, classic aircraft, and historic planes that could be viewed up close. Airplane rides also offered a firsthand experience with these machines.

Other Fly-in events for 2026 included food trucks, bounce houses, and kids' activities. The Commemorative Air Force Rise Above Mobile Theater was also on hand to showcase stories of resilience and courage.

The Armed Forces Day Fly-in event is just another way that Greenville strives to keep residents connected and engaged.
